eBridge Makes Inc. 5000 List
Inc. Magazine ranked Tampa-based eBridge, a leading document management provider,
number 2594 on its third annual Inc. 500/5000 list.
August 12, 2009 -– Inc. Magazine ranked Tampa-based
eBridge Inc. number 2594 on its third annual Inc. 500/5000 list, an exclusive ranking
of the United States' 5,000 fastest-growing, privately-owned companies.
Since 1982, Inc. magazine has published a special Inc. 500 issue that recognizes
the 500 fastest-growing, private companies in America. Past honorees include Microsoft,
Oracle, Timberland, Morningstar, Jamba Juice and Domino’s Pizza. In 2007,
Inc.com published the first-ever Inc. 5000 list — an expansion of the Inc.
500 list, which now features the nation’s 5000 fastest-growing private companies.
“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that
the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving
success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older
private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate," said Inc. 5000
project manager Jim Melloan. "That's why our list is so eagerly anticipated every
year."
Leslie Haywood, eBridge's CEO and co-founder, was one of those eagerly awaiting
the Inc. 500/5000 results. “On a professional level, I feel that being recognized
on the Inc. list shows our customers, employees and partners that after
eight years in business, eBridge remains a strong, stable company that continues
to grow,” Haywood explained. “On a personal level, being included on
the Inc. list has been a dream since I read my first issue of Inc.
when I was starting my career. I can’t wait to see where we rank in 2010!”
The 2009 Inc. 5000 provides a unique view of the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing
recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list increased to $214 billion,
up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent.
The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their
founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing
companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including
company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region,
and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
